Drake appears to respond after trending over ‘leaked’ X-rated video
Why is Drake trending on social media? Across social media apps and search engines.
Hundreds of thousands of people on the social platform were reacting to an alleged leaked video that appeared to show the Canadian rapper naked and engaging in a sexual act.
On Tuesday, Drake was trending on X, formerly Twitter, with social media users writing about a "leak" of an inappropriate video possibly linking the "Worst Behaviour" rapper.
Popular online streamer Adin Ross, who is well aware of the apparent Drake leak and has his cell-phone number, playfully sent the rapper a voice memo telling him he's "blessed" in more ways than one. Shortly after sending the voice memo and playing the audio message on his stream, Ross allegedly got a text back from Drake with "eight laughing emojis."
While the public does not have a screenshot of the interaction between Ross and Drake, the duo are public about their friendship, with the latter once congratulating Ross over the phone for winning big on an online betting site.
Drake himself has yet to publicly address the online rumors that have since gone viral.
His last post on Instagram was to promote an upcoming tour with Lil Durk and J. Cole, with the caption reading, in-part, "BIGGER & BIGGER."
Many fans who followed the trend, admitted that they thought the 'leak' was probably an unreleased song or a new album. Among those reacting to the video was popular streamer Adin Ross, who has previously collaborated with Drake.
Drake has not commented publicly on the alleged leak, which Ross and others have speculated appears to be filmed on his private jet.
The clip comes weeks after pornographic deepfake images of Taylor Swift were widely circulated on X, despite the platform’s rules against such media.
The nonconsensual images, which appear to have been made using AI, showed the pop star in sexually suggestive and explicit positions.
US media reports that some posts sharing the images amassed more than 27 million views and 260,000 likes in 19 hours, before the account that posted the images was suspended
